TalentKnight ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered recruitment platform connecting employers with pre-vetted candidates. We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What Data We Collect

For Candidates

Full name, email address, phone number
CV / resume and work history
Skills, qualifications, and professional experience
LinkedIn profile (if provided)
Job preferences and availability
UTM source data (how you found us)

For Employers / Clients

Company name, contact name, email, phone number
Role briefs and hiring requirements
Account login credentials (via LinkedIn OAuth)
Billing information (processed securely via Stripe)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

Match candidates to employer role briefs using our Vesper AI system
Communicate with you about relevant opportunities or services
Process payments and manage your account
Improve the platform and our matching algorithms
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Contract: Processing necessary to fulfil services you've requested
Legitimate interests: Improving our platform and matching quality
Consent: Marketing communications (you may withdraw at any time)
Legal obligation: Where required by law

5. Data Retention

We retain candidate profiles for up to 24 months from the date of submission, or until you request deletion. Client account data is retained for the duration of the contract plus 6 years for legal compliance purposes.

Stripe — Payment processing
Vercel — Website hosting
LinkedIn — OAuth login

All third-party processors are GDPR-compliant and subject to data processing agreements.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to processing
Data portability
Withdraw consent at any time

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure third-party infrastructure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the ICO within 72 hours where required.
